They are trying as hard as they can to get the excess weight off, but the scale number just stays the same – or gets WORSE. While there are very effective medications for dealing with depression, there are a number of other ways that you can fight depression AND lose weight at the same time.

Here are some foods you could be using to fight depression and lose weight:

Leafy greens

Leafy greens like spinach and broccoli contain high levels of folate (vitamin B9) which your brain requires in order to function optimally.

This is a key factor in combating depression. Other foods that contain folate are lentils, beans, and asparagus.
